With Me Training For A New Position I Am In @ My Full Time Job, Could Not Go Home For Easter/Resurrection Sunday Visit. So What Is A Gal To Do? Volunteer To Work Marketplace Ministry Job.

With me being in training for a new position that I currently accepted at my full time job I could not sneak away to go for a visit for Easter/Resurrection Sunday this year. I have a heart to serve and what better way to serve than serving families that go out together for Easter. I was actually scheduled off but when things changed I said I would be able to work and to put me on the schedule. See, we cannot sit around and mourn on Resurrection Sunday for Jesus is not in the tomb. He is risen, indeed He is risen and He is coming again to claim His people.  Are you one of those that He comes back to claim. I am and I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that when He comes back for His people I will rejoice with shouts of gladness.
I am most thankful that I accepted Jesus into my heart to be the Lord and love of my life. I was heading down a path let's say that it was interrupted when I met Jesus and He re-directed my steps on the path of life. I live an exciting life with Jesus and everyday is an adventure. What about you? When He comes into your heart and life it is as though everything seems to be singing a song of new life and even the birds seem to be singing a bit louder and they have that extra chirp in their song they sing. You tend to look at cloudy days differently...you see the sun light that cuts through the clouds and you then see the glimmer of hope with the ray of sunshine peaking through the clouds.
If you should be without family for Easter Sunday then it is perfect timing for you to attend church and possibly seek to extend a helping hand to others that are in need of help. It is not all about you and what yo get in your Easter basket but it is about touching the life of another in need with the love of Christ. He not only touched and healed the people along with setting them free, He touched the very core of the people and their lives were never the same from that point forward.
I told a co-worker at work that helped me with an assignment that I would bring in M&M's for them if I could find some after work yesterday. Sure enough, not only milk chocolate, dark chocolate but also mint M&M's along with Dove dark chocolate eggs and Dove milk chocolate truffles. See, I guess I tend to still have a child's heart so I got a felt really cute Easter basket and colorful Easter basket grass to put in their basket. The funny thing is this...the day before I was at the same store and thought to myself buy this, then last minute I put back the candies. Well, sure enough when I inquired about M&M's they told me they liked them so back I went to the store and bought what was needed to make up the Thank You Easter basket.
My mother will be 90 this Summer and she still looks forward to dying Easter eggs and she still does. To her it is artwork and that is what I will miss not being with them tomorrow. I dyed eggs a few times with our children but they seemed to enjoy dying eggs with Nana as they were growing up. Even when they were little enough to sit on the kitchen counter while she was dying eggs they did. It was a Nana thing. She also reminded me how the kids squirmed when they had to go with her on Good Friday to church or how they had to sit quietly during the somber time of the day I think it was from noon-3PM if they were with Nana on Good Friday. Memories that is what it is all about. Sweet, sweet memories we are creating for our families. Memories to hold onto while they are with us on earth and cherished memories when they are no longer with us here on earth. Do you know for sure that you will be in heaven with your loved ones for all eternity?
If you are not sure I can lead you in a simple yet profound prayer that will give you that great assurance. Are you ready to repeat after me? Let's do it so one day we will all be rejoicing in heaven forever. "Lord Jesus forgive me I am a sinner. I know that what I did in my life was sin and my heart seeks Your forgiveness. I believe that You came to this earth as a baby via Mary one that knew no sin. Better known as the virgin birth of Jesus. You walked amongst us, you played with children as a child. You grew in wisdom and knowledge. You extended love and healing and deliverance to the people around you. You taught us how to not only love but to be loved and accept love. You paid the ultimate price for our sins. You died on the old rugged cross so that we may live with You for all eternity. Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice just for me. I invite You into my heart. Cleanse me and make me whole. Be my everything and I will praise all the wonders You have done in my life. Thank you for salvation and for the shed blood You shed on that cross just for me. Bless Your sweet, holy name. Amen."
Did you know that all the angels in heaven just rejoiced when you prayed that prayer. Welcome to the family of God and rejoice in your new life.
