Started Composing This Yesterday Until I Got Pretty Sick, I Am Back And Continue To Finish This Entry; Would You Like To Know The Song My Son Sang As I Came Up Out Of The Water When I Was Water Baptized As An Adult?

I think you will enjoy this blog entry it is regard to my water baptism as an adult. I was water baptized as an infant in the Catholic Church. I found my christening outfit and I used my steamer today to press out any wrinkles in it. I also discovered not one but to pairs of infant shoes, I believe they went with my christening outfit. One pair is the softest texture of leather. Does anyone use saddle soap anymore to clean leather? I do. What about mink oil to then treat the leather? I do. I used both on that tiny little pair of shoes today. When steaming the little dress I noticed a portion of the sleeve came apart from the seam. I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would one day be darning my christening dress. I actually enjoyed taking care of that. I also found a picture of my grandmother holding me in that christening outfit. My Grandma, that her grandmother brought the Jewish heritage into our family blood line. How cool is that? God has a plan and even in today's composing of this blog entry I find the picture of me in my christening outfit.
As an adult I felt the wooing of Holy Spirit to get water baptized. I followed through with that nudge. I also have a picture that the church captured of me coming up from under the water. I just love the expression on my face. I will share that with you. My daughter did not want to attend this water baptism but my son did. He was primary school age. This child I would teach him as I was learning about deliverance ministry. We would sit down on the couch together and examine objects together. We would look at the item and ask it "what do you think about the shed blood of Jesus Christ?" If we sensed any activity from the asking of that question (I have the gift of hearing in the spirit realm and if I heard screams and words like no no no or we saw something leap within that object if we were looking at an object) we did deliverance ministry on that object or even discarded the item from our home. I gave you a bit of background info so you will understand the innocence of this child singing forth this song to me. I believe this child was singing a prophetic song over his mother, why, because I have a gift in the area of deliverance to set the captive free in the name of Jesus so they can then complete their life and destiny in Jesus.
So I am having this wonderful moment in water baptism and I come up from under the water and I hear my son singing a song to me via the microphone and my first instinct is who gave this child a microphone and what is this song he is singing in front of everyone? These are the words of that very song sang to his mother "I BIND AND I REBUKE YOU IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, I BIND AND I REBUKE YOU IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS CHRIST. I TOLD YOU ONCE I TOLD YOU TWICE NOW YOU HAVE TO PAY THE PRICE I BIND AND I REBUKE YOU IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS CHRIST." I just sang this song to him yesterday while talking with him on the phone. He said he did not remember the words of the song but he did remember when we would sit on the couch and we learned together about deliverance ministry. I also reminded him yesterday to pray in the spirit when he is with someone and they may not understand praying in that manner that he could silently pray for them while he was there with them.
Notice in the picture of me in the baptism pool that it was not a very appearance pleasing set up. This is where the baptisms were held in the old sanctuary that was being used for the school that was connected to this church for devotions and I believe the youth gathered here also. I commented to someone on staff that everything at this church was done in excellence and that I was embarrassed to have friends come to my baptism with the condition that room was in, did not reflect the excellence that was a part of this church. These were cosmetic things not the presence of God. She asked me to compose a letter with my concerns and I did. It was shared with I guess the board or overseer's of the church or even the pastors not sure who actually saw this letter. I also made mention that water baptisms should be held not as a private event but before the congregation so they could support the one's being baptized and celebrate also within the church service. They built a beautiful baptism font (I don't know the correct term but it was one that you walked down steps into the baptism pool) and it is behind a  wall on the main platform of the church. The old one did not have a heater in it so they had to do something when filling up the tank so it was not really cold water for those being baptized. I believe the updated on had that. So there were improvements made when they brought the baptism tank into the main sanctuary. I came across a letter I composed after I was able to view sort of a behind the scenes baptism experience with the new location in the main sanctuary. They wanted to know my thoughts on this and I shared them with them. Yes, it was now in the main sanctuary but I believed they lost a little of the personal effect that there was in the smaller sanctuary. Meaning being able to share a bit of your testimony prior to your baptism. I also suggested a few other practical things with what I observed. See, God can use you in a simple act of obedience when He woos you to an experience with Him. Always keep your heart and spiritual ears open to His invitations they are not few and far between they are quite frequent if you allow Him to lead you.
In water baptism most people will wear a tee shirt/shorts or something of this nature. Mine was a different experience. Holy Spirit wanted me to dress just for Him. I had a favorite wool blend teal colored sweater that had pearls scattered throughout the front of this sweater and a matching pair of lined teal colored pants. That is what I wore for my baptism of course with pearls as earrings and maybe a pearl bracelet too. Water and wool not a great combination but it did not matter. I dressed for Jesus that day. Yes I did. I invited my friends back to our home and I served dessert and coffee and I even set the table buffet style but I used my good china and probably my silver silverware for this occasion. You may wonder why I do not mention my family being there? They did not understand this change in my life back then and I probably did not invite them for knowing I may have experienced some sort of opposition that I was baptized as an infant in a Catholic Church. You have to remember that when I got saved it was a radical change in my life and behavior, people knew me as another way. It was an adjustment for them. That is why I did not force my daughter to attend this baptism, I respected her wishes in this. I offered the invite to both of my children and I gave them their choice to make in regard to this. This is my water baptism experience I share with you today. It was the best thing ever for me and I encourage you to take the plunge if Holy Spirit is wooing you and ever so gently speaking to your heart.
In case you are wondering if my children wore this christening set for their water baptism, the answer is no. When my sister was born her godmother was a seamstress and made a beautiful christening gown for her. That is the one I used for my children. One day someone will be blessed to be dressed in this for their baby dedication. Yes, lets think in that term as opposed to an infant water baptism.

My baptism date was September 21,1958.

Ok back to a bland diet this evening. Poached egg with dry toast. It is not bad I actually enjoy poached eggs. Last night when I was sick I went and got my laptop and brought it into my bedroom. I listened to the audio book by James W. Goll, "Praying With God's Heart." I believe I was listening to chapter 10 Proclamation Decreeing A Thing. You should get this audio version of the book. I read the book and then reinforce it with the audio version. There is something soothing/healing about his voice as he reads the book.
