I Am SOOOO Proud Of My Daughter

I received the best text message followed up with a phone call on Thanksgiving Day. My daughter hosted her first Thanksgiving dinner party. I am so proud of her. She cooked a turkey before her own mother has actually had the chance to make a turkey, way to go sweetie. She really is the best. She had seven people over for dinner and her friends also helped with bringing items also. You see, if you raise up a child in the right way they really will do OK, correction, far better than us as parents can even imagine. I am just so proud of her. Hand claps for you sweetie you beat mommy to the challenge of making a turkey and entertaining your guests all on the same day.
As a parent how do you top that, you don't. Isn't that what it's all about? I receive no greater pleasure than seeing my children excel in what they are called to do with their lives. That is how it is suppose to be. We train them and give them the opportunities to receive into their lives what is needed for them to grow up and do what they are called to do with their lives. On occasion I have taught my children different things in the realm of prayer, etc. I have no truer great pleasure than seeing them operate in the gift that is inside of them. It is really OK to not be selfish and let your children grow and prosper.
I have heard of stories in which a parent (for the sake of an example, their parent is a pastor) raises their children and a child or two are truly gifted to become a part of the ministry. Do you know that there are actually pastors out there that are jealous of their children advancing beyond that pastors career in the ministry? Is that not crazy? The greatest pleasure/honor should be for that very pastor to rejoice in their child's ability to advance and take the gospel message even farther than where the parent was able to take it. Again, that same pastor may have children within the family unit that are not called to preach, teach, evangelize, etc. and their gifting is within the business arena. Don't be pushing or shoving that child into the ministry per say when God has called them in a different direction OK. God can use that same child in the business arena to take the gospel message even farther than the one called to the ministry per say. Respect that in your child (children.) Raise them up in the ways of the Lord and let them be who God created them to be. Rejoice in their success with them and with the rest of your family. Do not just always give credit to the one doing the ministry because it is usually the one that is not necessarily called to the ministry that will do the mighty and great works for the kingdom of God.
Remember David in the bible? His father did not even think he was worthy of being placed before the prophet to be amongst the ones to be chosen as the next king. Take heed in that example. He was a great king and a mighty worshiper also. Just because a child is not demonstrative in praise and worship when he/she is around you or in a church service does not mean he/she is not a worshiper in their heart. Probably some of the loudest praisers around you may just be that in action. If/when you had the opportunity to truly get to know them you would discover they are just for show and no heart filled with praise and worship. Remember, He is looking for those that worship Him in spirit and in truth.
So, when you see a person worshiping the Lord be it in church, car, exercising with a headset or MP3 player playing, etc. you just do not know who the true worshiper really is. That is a heart matter and leave that one up to God because He knows who is real and who is phony. It is not for us to judge. I will give you a clue. If you are a true worshiper be it demonstrative or not you just know when you connect with a person, your spirit really does connect with another person in spirit that is a true worshiper. Be cautious because satan can send a false person to you. That is why it is imperative for you to stay in prayer/fasting/worship/bible to weed them out so as to not waste precious time with the false ones and miss out on the precious time with the true ones that will lift your spirit and encourage you to advance in the area that you are called to and not only advance but advance with success.
