President Trump, May I Share Something That Happened Last Evening @ A Lowe's. It Involved A Senior Citizen Struggling With Increasing Food Costs.

I was at Lowe's yesterday evening and the line was too long in the garden center with only 1 cashier working a register. I then took my few plants I had in my shopping cart and headed inside to pay for them. I had to walk farther then stay in that line, but it was worth getting checked out faster. I did not solicit this at all I was just walking towards the self-serve checkout lines. An older gentleman approached me with an empty snack sized individual pie box in his hand. He shared how when President Trump was in office that pie only cost him 0.50 and now the same pie costs 0.82 @ Walmart. This was an older man with all white hair, and he also shared he was a veteran. A man that sacrificed in his lifetime to defend our country, Land of the Free & Home of the Brave and this is how our senior citizen veteran is being subjected to this mess. He was retired so you can guess he is on a fixed income, and this is what he has to deal with in his golden years. We briefly talked and then I kept heading towards the checkout. I get there, and he is checking out what he was buying and then again, I hear him sharing the same story with a woman in line about the cost of that simple pie. I do believe this older man keeps this empty pie box with him and shares about the cost going up now as opposed to when President Trump was in office with whomever he gets a chance to share it with. I wanted to give the man a little bit of hope and responded back that maybe if President Trump gets back in office just maybe that same pie price would be reduced to 0.25 for each one.

I think my steps were ordered of the Lord last evening. I was searching for lemon grass, and they didn't have any. I did find a great deal on individual plants, a special 5/5. I found 5 and then a tomato plant sweet 100 heirloom cherry tomatoes that were also on sale. I asked the clerk when checking out would the same prices be in effect purchasing in the store as in the garden center. She assured me they would each ring up for 1.00 even if I didn't buy all 5. The same for the pricing on the tomato plant. I did not have to buy 3 plants to get that price for 1 plant. I shared with her how I was there for the lemon grass plant, and she looked it up for me, there were none in their store currently, but plants arrive daily, and they may still get some in.

Let's see now, I went to Publix first for Arnold's brand of pumpernickel bread and fresh flowers. I did also get a bag of sauerkraut that was on sale. Hobby Lobby for a few teal-colored feather plumes to re-adjust 2 wreaths in a bathroom when I put up the new peel & stick backsplashes when they arrive. I found cute light, teal-colored pinwheels to add to my garden and a matching table runner for my kitchen table to go with the current tablecloth I have on the table. As I was walking around the store, I heard an advertisement about getting your heirlooms framed in their frame department. As I finished checking out, I shared how my mother's graduation picture was matted and framed from Hobby Lobby when she died, and I took it with me to Ohio for her church service and that very picture now hangs on a wall in my home. I thanked her for Hobby Lobby taking care of my heirloom. Oh, my first journey was to Ollie's because I saw a recent advertisement for something that caught me eye in the ad. I also had to return a pair of sunglasses I bought there. I have used the RUBY chair sliders before, and they work. They have 1 out now for outdoor chairs and table legs so your deck doesn't get scratched, and they move with ease. I think it looks just like the indoor ones I have used and are placed in outdoor looking packaging. It doesn't matter because if they fit the chairs they do work. 8 pieces for 4.99.

I shared all of that with you because it was God's divine timing in the course of events that took place yesterday evening. Timing seems to be everything nowadays. I went here, there and everywhere so to speak before I got to Lowe's. I do believe it was a divine appointment setup to hear the cry of an older man sharing his story I imagine wherever he goes. That just maybe someone out there will listen to him. I get it, I am a bargain hunter myself but to be put in his situation as a retired veteran that served our country, and this little individual pie was important to him. Lord, bless this man and give him the desires of his heart since he so generously chose to give his best in his life to defend our country and keep us safe. Yes, the Lord still hears our prayers and answers them. You know what? Hobby Lobby had a car magnet that said PRAY FOR AMERICA with an American flag in the background. I just may have to go back there and get 1 for my car. God answers prayers He really does. So, President Trump can you get this man's favorite snack pie reduced to maybe 0.25 @ Walmart. I know it may be a tall order to fulfill with everything else going on, but it would bless this sweet veteran.
