I will be having a birthday the day after tomorrow and I saw in my yard 6 gardenia blooms (earlier today there were only 5.) I so wanted to pick a few and bring into the house but I am being patient to see just how many blooms I will have in total on my birthday. Sitting on the back porch today the fragrance permeated the air, and it was a delight to smell that beautiful fragrance. This is my first birthday without my mother here since she is in heaven. We both loved gardenias (my sibling does also) and there is this little glimmer of hope inside of me that just maybe my mother asked someone in heaven if I could be blessed on my birthday with gardenias galore. I have faith to believe enough that I just may see 7 by then. The number of God. I told you I have a good and blessed life. I took a short walk this evening in my neighborhood. Prayed with one neighbor and said I would make minestrone soup and bring some over tomorrow along with focaccia bread if I make it. Stopped at another neighbor's house and they requested me to keep them in their prayers. Then stopped at 1 more neighbor's house to chit chat a little before I came and took a picture of the gardenias. God is good all the time. Do you recognize the goodness of God. I trust your answer is yes and amen.

| You cannot see it in the picture, but I also have a gardenia tree too. Just buds but no blooms yet. That is the tree I bought as a memory of my mother's love of gardenias. |
