Before we go into this sharing mode I woke to Holy Spirit directing me to 1 John. so I am sharing that scripture with you all today right out of my bible. I took a picture of the actual page in my bible. This is what stood out to me first, "God is light, and there isn't any darkness in him. If we say, 'We have a relationship with God' and yet live in the dark, we're lying. We aren't being truthful."
Maybe it is best to go and read this scripture verse/chapter for further insight just for you.
Did you enjoy that scripture along with Jeannie Tenney singing the song? I am a worshiper and I can totally relate to this song. Isn't that funny I connected with this song when I first heard it years ago when they came to our church to preach back in Ohio. I shared with yo that I received the "pre-release" cd of this song and I think "One Night With The King" is also on the cd I have. So, I first heard this song around the time that the movie, "One Night With The King" was about to be released. I told you I am a worshiper. Not just by listening to a song it is a daily lifestyle. Maybe a book should be written if it is not already written on "The Lifestyle of a Worshiper" just a thought that popped into my head as I am writing this?
Just yesterday I was sitting outside creating a 90th birthday card for my mother and I noticed the sky was getting dark and the wind was picking up a bit. I just knew that a possible storm could be coming into the area and so I just felt led to get up and go by the river and walk. I was prepared in the event the rain would come while I was walking. I had the big sized umbrella and a few pieces of tissue in the event my glasses would get wet from rain. There was a time or two when I was walking and a storm came in and I actually wasn't prepared and I got drenched. Even back then there was something a bit refreshing at the time. It was as though a cleansing came to me walking in the rain.
So, I am walking and the wind does pick up but I just keep walking. I get to the entrance section of going onto the bridge and I feel Holy Spirit guiding me to stop and turn around 3 times. I did. I had no idea a few people were on the bridge trying to fish. Do you think they saw me turning around 3 times? I do not think so but if they did it does not matter to me. Do you know why? Holy Spirit gave me a directive and I followed through.
As I am walking back the wind is picking up and I spoke to the storm to dissipate and it did not this time but it did hold off literally until I got within a few feet of my car. Then the rain came. I was born to be a worshiper. As I am driving home I begin to sing in tongues a most beautiful song to some melody of a Christian song I know. The next thing I know tears are coming down my face for the presence of God was in my car. See, Acts of obedience and a tender heart to follow Holy Spirit leads to worship. I must have been singing a beautiful song to Jesus in my car that it caused tears to come and then flow. I began to say thank you and it did not even mater if someone saw me crying while I was driving for I did not have sunglasses on this time to shield someone from seeing me cry. I am not ashamed of Jesus, singing or praying in tongues or following Holy Spirit direction. This is who I am and I will praise Him all my life and even there after in heaven. I am a worshiper are you?
Let me share a few notes I jotted down while listening to this video:
"Wherever you find the most resistance you might should look in that direction for your destiny. Resistance only fights you when your destiny is taking you higher because very often that thing that's hardest may be the thing that unlocks your destiny. If you change your direction and go just a little bit over here less resistance. If you completely change it then you won't have any resistance. Use resistance as a tool to help you find what you were supposed to do."
Oh, earlier in the day I baked oatmeal fruit bars to take to a family gathering. Half were apricot preserves the other half raspberry and then a bit of overlapping in the middle of both flavors. They were warm when I took them out of the oven and I just knew to take some to my jeweler, for a ring was re-sized for me and I was to pick it up. A ring my mother gave to me a few years ago. Smoky topaz in a setting I thought was silver. It was actually 10K white gold. My mom sure did have tiny fingers back when she wore this ring a size 6.5 was the ring size. I wanted it to fit my right hand finger so I could wear it on either hand left or right. My right hand tends to be a tad bit larger than my left hand ring finger. I gave them the dessert and my jeweler ate one right away and said it was perfect timing. He even commented how they were still warm too. I told them it is an easy recipe that our family has been making a while. Remember when I shared with you how I was in a tamburitza folk group and we went to the former Yugoslavia in 1976? Well, back then I bought a ring for myself and I also had a pair of earrings from that trip. Throughout the years I did not wear the ring anymore and the European style earring closure broke so a while back I took them to my jeweler to see if the stones were real or not and they were not but it was14k yellow gold. I asked my daughter if she wanted the ring and she declined. So these items sat until yesterday. I brought them with me to sell to the jeweler and not only did it cover the cost of re-sizing the ring but I actually also received money on top of that. See, I held onto them for many years for such a time as this. Do you like when I share my faith stories with you? I love sharing so as to build up your faith to a level where you will even surpass my level of faith. Enjoy today and all that is has to offer to you. Hidden treasures are out there to find if you follow Holy Spirit direction and remember His protection is also there when He takes you on His journey's.
