I Am Truly Enjoying My Electric Pressure Cooker

I do enjoy using my electric pressure cooker. There was a recipe I used from an electric pressure cooker cookbook for macaroni and cheese and it looked better than it actually turned out. I thought it was dry tasting and would probably not make it again. The recipe came from the cookbook, "SIMPLY THE BEST PRESSURE COOKER RECIPES" by Marian Getz, introduction by Wolfgang Puck. Now, I highly recommend trying two recipes from this cookbook that I have made on more than one occasion, Mashed Potatoes on page 62. Why make mashed potatoes the way we use to make them by boiling them on the stove top in a pan. After trying them prepared this method you will wonder to yourself why did I ever make them the traditional way. Preparing them in this fashion actually allows one to taste the taste of the potato and not have to doctor up mashed potatoes made the alternative way to get some flavor to them.
The second recipe I recommend, Wolf's Reisfleisch on page 33. Sometimes I add extra lemon juice and I usually cut the recipe in half when I make it. I must admit that I do add extra chili flakes too. It is a meal in itself and nice when served with a side salad. If there is not a recipe I like in the cookbook I then google search for what I am looking for and then find the recipe I like best and then try it.
Yesterday, I found an easy way to cook fresh beets. It was so simple to use and the beets came out so sweet tasting after prepared in the pressure cooker. I added nothing to them, they were naturally sweet tasting when I peeled them when they were finished. There really is no comparison to the taste of canned beets versus fresh beets.
