I woke up today on Veterans Day and I heard Holy Spirit say I should go and pray and pay tribute to the veterans buried at The Stones River Battlefield. I knew 1 thing, be on the land by 11:00AM. I arrived a few minutes before 11 and started my faith mission. Every time I come on this land it brings reality to me, that people who believed fought for their cause. When you look around at the grave markers I see so many lives that came and fought from northern states. Now I know why part of my reason for being in TN, to honor the dead from back home.
People that never got to say their final good bye's to loved ones or tell them they loved them one more time. As I write this tears fill my eyes when I see a plot of land filled with graves. Of all the places God could have planted me, He planted me near this battleground. The timing was perfect for when I got to my car it began to rain. I took little video clips and all I can say is God have mercy on our land. Some try to take our freedom away from us in our very country and God will meet these very people one day face to face. Enough said about that.
I went to Aldi's to pick up a few things and while I was in line I kept looking at the roses for sale. For some reason a beautiful colored shade of pink popped out at me. I put it back because I thought there may not be enough life left in them for they had a few petals on the outside that made them look not fresh. Well, behind me was a lady that works at a local floral shop and she helped me pick out a set that would be just fine. She showed me the trick, if when you touch the individual rose and it feels firm it is ok. She said the pink one I liked would be fine as long as I put the flower preservative in the water with the roses and to peel off the few petals I did not like the way they looked. She showed me the name of the flower shop she works at because it was on her shirt. I said to her I know your flower shop, they have flowers on the delivery vans and I see people getting flowers delivered to them. I then shared that I have never had any delivered to me from her shop. You see, I don't wait around for someone to send me flowers because if I did I would not have fresh flowers in my apartment so I get them for myself. They really are a beautiful shade of pink.
Pest control came to my apartment to spray for spiders and we began to talk. He is a veteran and he shared with me where he served. See, I don't make this up, I became a little teary eyed when I thanked him for his service. He shared that President Trump really did look out for veterans and did a lot for them when I asked him what he thought on that subject of President Trump helping veterans. This is most important of all. He told me he found Jesus and if he would not have he would not be where he is today. Praise God with testimonies do you agree.
We are free and we are safe because someone fought to keep us free and safe, never forget that.
Full day what do you think. The swelling in my eyes is going down nicely, so much so that I actually went into HomeGoods store & Marshall's without sunglasses on today.
