I recently read a touching and openly honest testimony of Jim Bakker. I was touched by this author openly sharing what he and his family went through. I felt inspired by Holy Spirit to submit it along with a few other Christian books for the buy back program they have. The majority of books I submit are the Christian Amish novels my mom loves to read. The way it works is you submit the books and they send them off somewhere to get a cash amount you can receive or it is a slightly higher amount if you accept a store credit. They do not accept secular books just Christian books. I thought for sure when they called me to let me know the option of cash or store credit it would be much higher then 4 dollars and some odd change because the "You Can Make It" book by Jim Bakker is not only a new book but I also paid full price when I ordered it from the ministry.
I was shocked at their response to me when I questioned the dollar amount of credit. Well this is how it goes ... apparently they do not accept all Christian authors and I was told they do not accept Jim Bakker. You know this is a loss for a person that potentially could have purchased this book in their time of need and found great hope and encouragement reading this book.
When people walk around with mistrust in their own hearts that causes me to wonder if they themselves have been deeply hurt at one point in their lives. If so, they may want to go and purchase this very book and see how well God restored this man's life and ministry also. Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding and He will direct your steps. He directs mine and yes it can be a bit lonely at times but I am ok with that. Why? God is my friend and refuge in times of help and present danger He truly is and He gets all the glory in what He does in my very life. I apologize to no one when sharing my testimony. If it was not for His grace and forgiveness I would not be walking the beautiful life I walk this very day.
I find it rather interesting in this situation. When I submitted the book I also showed the clerk there was a personally signed picture of Lori & Jim Bakker that also came with the book. They said it was fine to keep it inside the book submitted. Guess what? I was not able to actually receive the credit due me until I came and picked up the book. Once I picked up the book the credit was then released to my account. You want to find something intriguing in this story. I picked up the book and guess what was no longer in the book, the signed picture of this lovely couple. Support the work they are doing. There are many times while on my exercise bike I watch a broadcast recently done. I find this so very interesting and God timing. One night this week I watched the recent broadcast with Charlie Shamp & Candice Smithyman on Angels. They both recently released books on angels.
The very next day I have my angel encounter and last night I watched part two of the broadcast. God is moving and shaking things up are you going with His flow or bucking against Him. The choice is always yours to choose. Oh, I do not know if they are still offering this special @ 45.00 you will received both books plus a box of Lang brand Christmas cards added as a bonus. That price included shipping and handling too. I know this brand of cards for I purchase them whenever I see them sold because they truly are great quality linen card stock that is used. Bless them as the Lord shows you to bless them ok.
Today is Veterans Day in The USA. I have to go now to get ready to attend a personal tribute to our veterans. Most people will be gathering at the main program in the downtown area. I feel led to go to the battleground area and say a prayer or two in reverence. We have freedom because they chose to fight for our very freedom that some in this country are trying to take away from us, Have mercy on them Lord. As you can see, I wrote this earlier in the day just before leaving for the battlefield.
