I Was Tired When I Went To Sleep Last Night 10/25/2020

I was up and running around 5:00AM yesterday morning. Writing early in the morning. I watched via live streaming church from my home church in Ohio. It is such a blessing when I join in to see familiar faces still on the praise team years later. Some in which I was in the choir with years ago. Such a blessing. A powerful message was brought forth and I praise God for that. I knew I was going to be making home made chicken noodle soup yesterday so I prepped the vegetables in advance for when I actually made the soup.

I was in a creative sort of mood yesterday in regard to baking. I made 2 loaves of challah bread. I needed a bit more active baking yeast. Off to the grocery store to pick some up. I decided on also picking up flour made for baking bread. I have the yeast now in stock so I may be making fresh bread in the future. Making this particular bread is a process. You make the dough, let it rise, punch down the dough. Braid the dough and let it rise a second time. Then bake it in the oven. I made 2 loaves out of 1 recipe. One loaf I made braided and long in length. The other I added a medley of raisins I had and still braided the bread but this time you make it into a circle. You brush each loaf with a beaten egg. The plain loaf of bread, instead of sprinkling on it poppy seeds this time I used sesame seeds. There is no greater scent wafting in the air like that of baking bread in the oven. Long after the bread is baked the scent still lingers on, an endearing/comforting scent of days back when.

I went for a walk and was so not pleased with what they are doing to the greenway. Destroying natural green areas to create a residential area. So where do all of the animals that lived in the wooded area go now? I have seen them do this in the past years and each section they take away the beautiful greenery looks barren now even though they are building on the land. Why does man so to speak do this to God's beautiful land. I used to see many signs in the neighborhood of residents that were against this plan of action. Obviously the peoples voice did not get heard enough to overtake the greed of cash. I know those may be strong words but it is truth at least the way I see it.

I did some cleaning yesterday and met a friend and we walked in her neighborhood. Oh I also made fresh chicken salad from the chicken breast I used to make the soup. I brought with me to my friends house some soup for her to enjoy also.

I participated in a weekend class on the discerner a few days ago. The instructor suggested reading daily Psalms 29 for 21 days. I did incorporate that reading into my daily life. The other day Holy Spirit prompted me to get out my Passion translation and read that version. It is so beautiful that I will finish out this instruction by reading that translation. It speaks of glory. Wow just the other day when I was driving home from Franklin the glory shout came forth from me in my car. I understand this version and it makes it crystal clear to me when I read it. Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Yes, it is God that brings forth our blessings in our lives so do not forget that ok.
