Aldi's You Lost Out On An Almost $50.00 Sale Yesterday, It Ended Up Being A Little Over $6.00. Why? You Are Holding Your Customers In Bondage Because You Will Not Release Returns Yet.

I have been holding onto a few items that need to be returned to Aldi's. I am told to hang onto the receipt and they will be returned sometime, God only knows when. Enough is enough now. You have to have experienced many multiple dollars of income during this covid-19 stuff have you not? Increased sales equals increased revenue/profit right? I had it placed upon my heart the other day to contact their headquarters and inquire as to when the returns policy will be put back into place, accepting returns that is with a receipt. It is a matter of principle with me. You already received the money paid for the items and the items sit not in use waiting to be returned with the money refunded to me. So, the money received is it now collecting interest of some sort and you benefit from it? Release your customers from bondage and set them free to be able to return items they do not like with the original receipt presented. When, When, When?
So I sent an email and I did receive a response but quite honestly, it was a generic type of response. How do I know, it was not personalized addressing what  I stated in my original email. Aldi's, other stores are graciously accepting returns when will you? Here is a copy of the response sent to me from Aldi's. Oh, by the way, the item I did not purchase for $39.99 was the foldable outdoor rocking chair. Why? Because it was wrapped up in plastic which was a good thing but one could not sit in the chair to try it out before buying it. What if it is not comfortable? Too bad, you are stuck with it. For $39.99 that is a of a bit steep loss on the customers behalf but a great win to fill your pocketbook with funding. Release the customers to allow them to freely shop again. Knowing that Aldi's stands behind their return policy and the customer can return items if they are not satisfied. This was their response to my email inquiry:

Thank you for contacting us.
For the safety of our customers and employees, we are temporarily amending our return policy and we will no longer accept returns. We will only accept returns on our fresh produce, meat, seafood, deli, and non-food ALDI Find items that do not meet our taste and quality guarantee. For these items, we will replace the product or refund your money*. We are constantly assessing the changing situation related to COVID-19. We look forward to resuming standard return operations in the future. Should you wish to return an item in the future, please retain the product, packaging, and receipt. For more information, please visit our Temporary Update Return Policy FAQs page by clicking here.

Our teams are working hard to keep our shelves stocked. In the midst of increased demand and challenging supply, we are focused on the products customers are likely to want most: water, pantry staples, pre-made meals, cleaning supplies, toilet paper and more. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide specific product stock levels, or information regarding upcoming ALDI FIND and Seasonal items, at this time. For some items in particularly high demand, we are kindly asking customers to limit quantities. To support as many customers as possible, there may be quantity limits placed on select items. We appreciate everyone’s patience as some of these products may be temporarily unavailable in some of our stores.
Thank you for being an ALDI shopper!
Kind regards,

ALDI Customer Service
