Sometime It Is OK To Stay Home From Church. I Do Not Condone It On A Regular Basis Though.

I went to sleep last night with the peace of God and the joy of the Lord in my spirit. I had lots of fun last night for I was invited to a very large Croatian wedding celebration. I will say this about my nationality, we really do know how to put on a great wedding and not only that, making people feel very welcome too. A very good friend of mine from my college days was also invited along with her family. What did we do most last evening? Laugh, remember what we did, laugh, remember some more and then laugh again. Now mind you I do not drink alcoholic beverages so all of this laughter was from my heart. Good friends you cannot pay any amount of money to get. My Mother invited me to this wedding as her guest I am so glad that she did. I was able to also see some friends that I use to be in the folk group with when I was a child. It really is good to reminisce on  good things. Do not reminisce on bad experiences for that is not good for you.
I have been hidden away with a really good book and I just completed it yesterday. You can purchase it on my blog page through the Amazon link. I have many things right before me right now in my life and because of the candid opinion of a very good store manager of a Family Christian Bookstore I was guided to get this book. It was exactly what I needed to ingest right now. You see, when the student is ready the teacher will be provided in your life. Sometimes it comes in the form of a person and sometimes it comes in the form of a resource tool. The more knowledge you receive the more you grow in strength. You see, I read a book by the author many years ago. The author is Stormie Omartian, the book I read back then was The Power of a Praying Parent. I just completed the Power of a Praying Woman. My children are technically adults if you base it strictly on age and now it is time to kick it up a notch and I will read The Power of Praying for Your Adult Children. You do know that while your children are younger you, as a parent, can already start praying for their future destiny. You actually should be praying even for their spouses too. Even though they are young you can still pray for that spouse and to keep them safe and set aside/set apart just for your child. Isn't that awesome? I learned that in the first book and now I will take it a step up with the concerns of young adult children in this next book.
This series of books are not just books to read. She draws you in with simple examples the chapters are short in duration. Always at the end she invites you to a prayer to say in respect to that topic and not only that, there are scriptures to back up what you just prayed. God uses this woman to touch those that have a heart for prayer. Like I said, when the student is ready the teacher appears. Thank you Lord for such tender care that you take care of us with Your love.
I must pause now for a moment because as I am writing I am also hearing the church service via UStream. A very good and anointed song is being ministered right now by the worship leader and I just have to join in. I will be back.
OK I'm back now and here are the words to the worship song they just ministered with:

Freely You gave it all for us surrendered Your life upon that cross great is Your love it's poured out for all this is our God.
Lifted on high from death to life forever our God is glorified servant and king He rescued the world this is our God.

It is good to be able to write and listen to Pastor preaching at the same time. I woke up without that peace and rest I had last night as I rested my head upon my pillow. I prayed and felt led to stay back home today and listen to the service online. I walked and as I was walking I felt a little heaviness fall on me. I began to doubt a bit the direction Holy Spirit gave me. It was not until I approached home that I just knew it was Him. For you see, morning doves never rest on my rooftop, other birds do but not the dove per say. Today, as I approached my home guess what I saw? A dove resting on my roof not far from the area in which I write. Is that not God? Yes it is. I have found that doves tend to fly away when they are perched on the telephone wire as you approach them when walking. Today, I just stood for a few minutes and looked up at the dove and it did not fly away. So my writing comes to you today because where the spirit of the Lord is there truly is freedom. As I am writing this the very song the worship team is singing is one of my favorite's, Freedom Reigns. I do have it on one of my former blog writings. Go ahead and find it and be blessed with listening to it.
I noticed one thing on my walk today. The red farm house is now beige in color. It was only a matter of a few short days that it transformed. When God does a quick work in your life it can truly be a matter of days. Keep strong and be encouraged and never stop seeking the Lord. God loves you. Gotta go now, I'm going to make a Belgian waffle and continue to listen to Pastor preach.

Added to this writing: Thank you Pastor for preaching from your heart. You heard the heart cry of the people and thank you for bringing forth a message addressing this. Do not give up people. Do not let satan win in your life and situation for you need to cry out to Jesus and awaken Him inside of you and He will rspond. Remember, your work done on the earth is connected to other lives and if you do not fulfill what you are called to do then they will not be able to receive the relief they should have received through your life. Let it not be about you as much as it should be about others through you. Christ reigns, He truly reigns now let Him reign for you and through you. Amen.
