The other day I was organizing a drawer and discovered I had a tape and it was in that very drawer for several years. Tucked in a corner for me to discover that day. By the title of my writing you can probably guess the song that is on the tape. Yesterday I packed up a tape player and the cassette tape and off to the nursing home I went. Remember, this is the song we all sing when I visit my friend. I had a special surprise treat for them. We had accompaniment with music and a singer as we sang. The one roommate's face just lit up when it began to play. It was as if her eyes began to dance. Her hands went up in the air as she sat in her wheelchair as if she wanted to dance to that song. Her hands swayed with the music. I caught on and reached for her one hand and held it as it swayed to the melody of the song. No, she could not get up and physically dance to the music but thru her hands we danced if that makes sense. Go visit friends and family in nursing homes if you can. Who would ever think that such a simple act of faith in bringing that music there would have delighted a person. Whatever their ailment may be it brought happiness to that room and that atmosphere for the destined time.
I invite you to click on the link and enjoy listening to Patti Page with Lou Stein's music. It really is OK if you find yourself wanting to sway to the music as you listen and enjoy this song. I love the tempo of this song for it is great to dance to on a dance floor. Can you see yourself gliding across the dance floor? I am going to include the words of this song today.

Let me call you sweetheart I'm in love with you.
Let me hear you whisper that you love me too.
Keep the love light glowing in your eyes so true.

Let me hear you whisper that you love me too.
Keep the love light glowing in your eyes so true.
