It was a lovely day today weather-wise that is. I took a break on my patio and I was intrigued when I looked up in the sky and still saw the moon in the sky and it was mid morning. From that I then was intrigued with the hummingbird. I then look up in the sky again to discover at first 2 dark in color birds flying way up high. That was the catalyst to then zone in on the other group I thought they were birds circling. I like to think of them dancing in the sky for me to enjoy. Something was different about them though. I do not know if it was the sun glistening on them but to me they actually looked golden/glistening if that makes sense. I took a video and it does not even capture this at all. It appears as though there is nothing in the sky. Trust me, they were there dancing in a circular movement and they were truly glistening as golden color. I thought of falcons because they are the only birds I know of in the region that are lighter in color. Maybe, just maybe it was a sign and a wonder for my eyes to see.
Do you take time to look into the sky and absorb nature? I was on a mission later this afternoon. I had to go to the post office and mail a birthday card. I put on 1 Forever stamp and it needed an extra one also. Easy solution. What books of stamps are available for purchase? I already had a lighthouse stamp on the envelope so I purchased western wear stamps. I love them I really do. Thank you USPS for bringing out a lighthouse collection of Forever stamps, only thing there are no lighthouses from Ohio. Pennsylvania yes but no Ohio. Oh well, still thankful that you brought out a series of lighthouses again. It has been several years and I would ask several times throughout the past few years if they had any lighthouse stamps. I then took a long route back home from the post office on this lovely day. I then felt led to go for a walk in the neighborhood. There have been several times when I walk in a certain neighborhood that I see a police car parked at one of the homes. As I walk down that street and see it parked I always pray for that police person. Sometimes I would say to Holy Spirit I would really like to see this police person and let them know how I pray for them when I see the police car parked. Well, today was the day. I was polite and asked if they were the person that rides in that police car. I then shared with them how I have prayed for them when I walk down that street. I also thanked them for their service.
See, if I didn't follow gentle nudges of Holy Spirit on my late afternoon journey I would have missed the opportunity to encourage the police person. This day was not about me, it was about being a blessing to bless others. In the midst of this I was blessed to buy the new western wear Forever stamps. You do know that it is not always the great things that are big in size that can be a blessing right. Look around and you will see the beauty of the Lord and experience His kiss of peace.
