You Should Invite Me To A Picnic. I Love To Create & Bless, I Really Do.

Where I currently reside there is a great group of us that live on the same floor. A few will be moving in the future. Great time for us to get together to fellowship do you agree? Covid put a damper on a cookie exchange we were going to have; then a cookie exchange @ Valentine's Day. I ended up being the only one that baked and shared with my neighbors. Things were going on in our lives then. So, what about a picnic with all of us together. That seemed to work with all of our schedules. I tend to like to cook so it is my pleasure to cook for this event. We are all bringing our own meat dish to cook and then side dishes and dessert, snacks too. My mind starts going to work and I am in search of recipes. I know I have some cevapcici sausages (Croatian) in the freezer I will make some as an appetizer to share. I have a great recipe for a roasted corn crab dip. I made that before and it was a hit so I will make it for our picnic. Served with pita chips, pretzel squares and another item for spreading the dip on. Not sure I may just bring both Ranch wheat thins and Tato Skin bacon ranch.

I am bring a steak to grill. Oh, I found a new recipe in my quarterly magazine I get, it is a cold salad with grated yellow and zucchini squash with cherry tomatoes olive oil cracked black pepper. It calls for basil but I am not a big fan of that so I will substitute my fresh grown chives. Oh my gosh you should see my garden now. It is growing great except my honeysuckle plant. My tomato plants are getting pretty tall. My striped peppers are starting to produce. My hummingbird flowers I grew from seed are really coming forth with blooms now. Oh last weekend I found a flower I used to have in my garden when I lived in Ohio, straw flowers. For nostalgia sake I bought one and it is a part of my patio collection. I gave my honeysuckle many days of care and nurturing and it did not bloom so with Holy Spirit help it was pruning time. I have garden clippers and it got a pruning. I am being pruned and getting rid of items I purchased at consignment shops and Goodwill so if I am being pruned then it is just fine for honeysuckle to be pruned also. I was looking for an item the other day and I came across a decorative throw that had a scene from Gone With The Wind. Holy Spirit said let go so it went in the trash. I think I got rid of almost everything except the dining room table. I bough that from an antique store. I needed a bigger table a few years ago when my children came for a visit. Pruning can be a good thing if you let it. I sure hope the family doesn't come to visit now for dinner because we will have to gather around the kitchen counter; coffee table or use my patio table. I am fine with this. Just means God has bigger and better plans for me so I look with anticipation.

Back to the picnic menu. For a dessert item I baked tonight Fresh Blackberry Cake with Blackberry Butter Cream Frosting. All I have to do is decorate it with fresh blackberries before serving. See, that cake will be used to bless a few people. When I go to revival tomorrow night I will take a piece to the woman who runs the food pantry section at the revival. She is most kind. Last weekend she wanted me to take Cranberry Orange Walnut pound cake from The Fresh Market,. I brought 1 each for 2 neighbors and gave them to them. I cut in slices and froze one for when family comes to visit in a few weeks. How does that sound served with maybe Culvers Vanilla Custard on a Summer day? Oh, the blackberry cake is made from scratch, no box mix and the same for the frosting. I made this before for either a work function or maybe a church function. So this is kind of funny. Ever since I left Ohio I have been carrying around in a box a portable grill that needed to be put together. I would literally move and place it in a storage closet until last night. I put it together last night and finished it today. It is the kind that you use a propane camping type of propane canister. It is quite nice when I took it out of the box to put it together. For such a time as this, not to have been used for about 11 or so years yet. It is good to fellowship and get together with your neighbors. I am going to miss these 2 neighbors when they move. I wonder if I asked them would they let me anoint the walls with anointing oil in preparation of the new residents that will move in. I have to wait on timing to ask that question. Let's see.

I don't think I ever showed you all the Easter egg hunt goodies I got for 2 neighbor children when they were on vacation, did I show you? We had an egg hunt here and I asked if it was ok to get stuff for the children for I knew they would like it. Another mom shared some of the filled eggs with me for the children and I got a 1.00 Easter bag @ Dollar Tree to put their items in. The other day one of my friends told me they think my ministry is baking. I don't know, I suppose it could be. Baking is what I enjoy but sharing it is even more fun.

I have a busy weekend, revival tomorrow night. Possibly meeting friends @ outdoor church to follow with a Cece Winans concert. I will also bring to my friends the blackberry cake and that leaves about half left for the picnic. Don't worry another neighbor is baking cupcakes we will have more than enough. Sunday, picnic day. You know I used to be an event planner right? I already got out disposable plates, napkins, bowls too and dessert plates. This will be so much fun. I like to organize and coordinate can you tell.

You see, Holy Spirit has me share sometimes in advance my adventures and then there are other times I don't share until after it has already taken place. I will share about my last weekend adventure another time. I actually travelled to another state for the day to attend a church service. It was amazing and so was the adventure the day before that. Holy Spirit is on the move and I have to flow where HE WANTS ME TO GO, DO YOU?

I even had time to run the vacuum too tonight. I am waiting and preparing with expectancy. What do you think God is up to...

Oh this is really important, I spent a good portion of the day and evening yesterday praying in tongues.
