It started yesterday afternoon. I picked up and quickly glanced at a hair appointment card. All I saw was a J for the month and the date 10th @ 5:30PM. So I thought I had an appointment yesterday and I got ready to leave the house so I would be on time. I park my car and see a vehicle for a local news channel and a man that looked like he was getting ready to film. I inquired and we had a brief conversation. I shared my thoughts and said I had to go so I was not late for my appointment. The reporter said they would go with me to the hair place and I declined. So, I get to the hair salon and see that it was closed. I thought it was odd that they did not send me a text msg reminder this week for the appointment. I checked my text messages and uh oh, I was looking at my appointment reminder from June. So I now am walking back to my car and the reporter is still there and I said well it looks like I was early for my appointment because it was not until a few more days. He wanted to interview me. This is when Holy Spirit wisdom kicks in and you should really listen to Him. I declined for I work for an organization and I did not want my personal opinions to be misconstrued if someone from my work organization saw me on a news segment. I shared my thoughts with the reporter but not filmed. All the sudden I begin to speak forth a word for this reporter, it was in the form of a question. Did they want to be at the right time with the interview of the right person that they got an Emmy for their reporting. They looked a little puzzled with what I said. I then said let me see if I could find you someone to interview. I called out to 2 sets of people across the street from us and asked them if they wanted to be interviewed and I explained what it was about. They both declined. I then repeated the insight given to me about winning an Emmy for a reported story. No response. I said it was from and I pointed at the sky to reference from God and if he agreed to say Amen. No response and that puzzled me as I spoke out loud do you not want to interview the right person at the right time and win an Emmy. I then got in my car and I was off on my next mission so to speak. I even tried 1 more time to round up a potential person for the reporter to interview. As I was at a stop sign and now on the other side of the building and that young couple then declined when I told them what the interview would be about.
I was going to meet a friend for a late dinner and I had time to shop while they were conducting their bible study first. I was off to replenish the "snack drawer" at work. Went to Bargain Hunt 1st because I received a notification that they had a candy buy out. I am looking at the supply and it sure did seem familiar to me. It was like looking at candy that Cracker Barrel sold in the gift shops. I should know since I worked for them 7 years and sold items in their gift shop. I was down another aisle and for some reason a 28 piece of snacks caught my attention. I dismissed it at first and went to seek out the candy section. I was drawn again to that aisle and to purchase the box of mixed snacks for $7.50. I purchased them and told the clerk I know the candy buyout came from Cracker Barrel. I then went to Dirt Cheap and found some more snacks for the drawer. They had 3 Peeps candy on a stick for 0.05each so I thought someone at work would like that and I found a bag of M&M's hazelnut flavored candy for 0.40. I thought I would bless my friend with the M&M's.
Before I did Bargain Hunt shopping I remembered to go to the local Christian bookstore to see if they could make up for me 3 cd's with the song "The Blessing" by Kari Jobe and Cody Carnes. They did and I purchased them. While they were making the cd's for me in walks a co-worker and I shared I am out stocking up on the snack drawer. One cd for me; 1 for my sister; and 1 for my friend I was meeting for dinner. We meet for dinner and of course you know it is filled with sharing our testimonies. A young man walks in and is seated. My friend shares with me she sees in a good way light around this young man. We finish our dinner and as we are heading out I saw a manager and inquired about a possible buyout of Cracker Barrel candy items sold at Bargain Hunt. It did happen, when the stores were closed for a period of time then did sell inventory items to Bargain Hunt. So, you now have an opportunity to indirectly bless Cracker Barrel by going and purchasing some of their quality candy items. You know the pre-packaged candy items you find at the store on the rounder across from soda's. Those bags of candy were 0.75 each. That is just 1 example go and have a look and it is as if you are walking into the candy section of Cracker Barrel with a different set up. Take your children there or grandchildren and let them have fun picking out candy items for a great price point. You know the glass jars filled with lemon drops, gum balls, etc.? They were there also along with the individual bags of Jelly Belly Candies and their individual containers of cotton candy. A child's dream come true or an adults candy dream come true. I know from my years at working there that they sell quality items like this. They also had a bag of the Fruit Gems and that was a little bit more money. Have fun today it is Saturday and go to Bargain Hunt and explore ok.
I then go to Dirt Cheap and picked up a few items there. Off to meet my friend for dinner. Oh, I already shared that so now onto the part of us exiting the store and going to our cars. We are talking by my car and my friend brings up again the young man and how she sees this good light around him as he walks out of the restaurant. He is now talking with a young lady by the car to the right of mine. I said to my friend then just ask him if he would like prayer. She was a bit timid, not me. I got out of my car and said excuse me and then I asked a question or two. Please know that when the unction is there I do not always remember the ice breaker question/comment for it is Holy Spirit flowing through me. That little ice breaker then led to ministry time. Reggie does do ministry with homeless people and nursing homes. I then get this insight to see if he would take the box of snacks and share them with the people he ministers to. I go to my trunk and get the box of snacks along with the bag of M&M's. My friend could not eat them because of the nut ingredient but I knew I was suppose to buy them right. Well Reggie said he would take them for himself. All 4 of us then took turns praying over the box of snacks and for the people to receive them. My friend prayed that they would multiply and then shared a testimony of how God multiplied supplies they were taking to storm victims last year. It is an incredible testimony. There was a young lady with Reggie. I do not know if I am spelling her name correctly it sounded like this, Shawnda. I invited her to pray over the snacks too and then we all 4 placed our hands upon this box of snacks and prayed for the people that will receive them. Is that God or is that God? Yes it is so Him and He does use everyday people that respond to His calling. Listen in the small little things throughout the day and you just may find yourself on a journey with destiny today.
One final thought, I probably am thinking out loud now. I have such a boldness when it comes for others but I tend to be a bit more timid when it comes to me. Let me explain. I am in the presence of a certain person and I may be thinking to myself ask this question or ask why that happened but I become demure and feel it would not be respectful or too bold to ask the questions that I really want to ask and would like the response to my question. How could I be so bold in one respect and not so bold in another respect. I guess it is ok to be bold in one way but it would not be ladylike in another. I know that you may be thinking that is silly that she thinks that way. I did ask my friend to pray for this boldness in my personal life. Where do you think Holy Spirit and I will go today?
