Before I went to the bridal shower I did attend a church in the area. Oh my gosh I must tell you about this experience. I have been to this church a few times now and their worship is truly filled with love for Jesus. Please know that I sat in the very last row in this church so what I am about to share with you is not because I sat up front close to the platform. The presence of God is everywhere.
I wrote this in my journal yesterday 7/7/19: "The last row during worship the sweet scent of donuts-I do not even eat donuts anymore. But I still do remember that sweet, wonderful fragrance as you walk into a bakery-the sweet smell of fresh baked sweet goods." That was the fragrance of God I smelled in the sanctuary.
I then get into my car and I was listening to Eddie James. A song that has been in "repeat" mode for a few days now. "I am free to worship, free to praise free to lift up holy hands and magnify His name." That song, at least a few of the words to the song that is. I then jotted this down in my journal while in the car: "I get in my car after the service I smell again a few times the sweet smell of donuts as I listen and worship to Eddie James Free to Worship." So I do believe the fragrance of God can come to right where you are. If you are a worshiper it is a wonderful experience to be in a church service in which freedom is in the worship. The fragrance of God does not have to just stay in the sanctuary though, take worship with you and see if the fragrance of God doesn't appear where you worship also. I am going to try and find the song that has truly ministered to me for several days now.
At the bridal shower this was a great idea. There were a few games we played and there was not an actual winner for each game. Instead, there was a gift already wrapped up and after each game the gift was set aside for the bride-to-be to open. Isn't that a lovely thought. So as she was opening her bridal shower gifts she then opened up the 3 gifts from us playing the games. I really like that idea. The last game was so clever. The wrapped gift was actually a part of this game. A person read a story with the bride as part of the story. What you had to do is if you had the gift in your hands when the word "left" or "right" were spoken in the story you had to pass the gift to the person either to your left or right when the word for each direction was given. I thought that was clever also.
