Sometimes you are blessed to see the fruit that comes forth from following Holy Spirit direction/guidance. This is one of those times. remember a few weeks ago how I shared that I was so blessed to be amongst my family from back home? I went to a memorial service and I was able to connect with family. I truly was blessed that very day to be with family. Apparently, when I thought how blessed I was I found out today that a few family members were so touched that I attended the memorial service and that I also represented my mother/mother's family in doing so. So much so that my aunt called me this morning to share with me how these cousins told her about it recently.
See, there is a purpose to following Holy Spirit direction. When you least expect it you tend to be blessed but the bigger picture is this...your obedience touches the hearts/lives of others in the process.
Once again, I enjoyed marketplace ministry today. I was able to distribute samples today to the customers. Want to know what I sampled today? A variety of soda's along with taffy. The choices to try in the soda category were: Big Red, Shirley Temple, Blue Cream Soda and Orange Cream. The taffy had a variety of flavors to select from also. I do love when I get to be the person that samples. It comes so natural to me to engage the guests and I love it.
I was in a creative mood this afternoon so know what I am working on? A co-worker will be transferring to a new location and I took one of my blessing cards with a scripture verse on it to add as a little extra thought to go with a little gift I also got them. I did a little background water color wash and then I am coloring in the picture with markers. The scripture verse on this particular card is Numbers 6:24 " The Lord bless you and keep you." I am also bringing in the strawberry cake too for our luncheon. I got up really early this morning so I baked a Key Lime quick bread to take with me into work today and there is still some left. I will probably share that with my neighbors today. Williams Sonoma makes great quick bread mixes that are easy to prepare. I am actually going to make a lime buttercream frosting to top the remainder with before I take it to my neighbors. My sister knows I like to bake so here and there she tends to get me these quick bread mixes.
