 I Apparently Do For This Is The Song I Awoke To Me Singing Over & Over again. It was my voice that was singing this simple yet profound phrase over and over again. "THANK YOU JESUS THANK YOU JESUS" I just keep singing it in my spirit as I am writing this right now. It is sung to a simple tune nothing complicated. I do have a grateful heart. We are having a celebration today at work and we are to bring in dishes for our they call it a potluck but I like to refer to it as a pot blessing luncheon. I was originally to bring in triple chocolate cake with a chocolate ganache frosting/glaze. Then I looked over the menu of what was being brought in today and thought there could be a few more items to compliment the dishes people signed up to bring in so far. I had the energy last night so away I went in making homemade focaccia bread and I will be bringing a stick of butter too in the event anyone likes butter with the bread. I then felt led by Holy Spirit on this one for sure to get the items to make an Italian style salad. You may say what does she mean by Italian style salad. that is easy to answer. I added items to the lettuce portion such as chopped pieces of salami; red onion; green pepper, olives, cucumber; banana pepper rings; garbanzo beans and of course Italian blend of shredded cheese to top it all off. I then made an Italian salad dressing for the salad.
You may say Holy Spirit guided, yes that is correct. I had limited funds to spend but I had three $2.00 bills with me. I bought 4 of them last weekend because I thought I was to bless my pastors grandchildren this weekend but Holy Spirit had other plans for these 4 bills. First one was applied towards a gift for a supervisor at work they were collecting money, strictly volunteer that I,s to bless the boss with a Christmas gift. I also had more that I had in change to contribute. So now I have 3 left but there are 4 grandchildren what do I do? Well, as I was heading home Holy Spirit said to bless the people at work with making a salad for them. I went to the store and sure enough I only had to pay a little over $2.00 to add to the $6.00 I had in two dollar bills. See, trust Holy Spirit when He nudges ok. He knows best and if I am to seek out four more two dollar bills I will find them. Right now, it was only yesterday that Holy Spirit showed me this one. I am to bless my pastor and his wife with the one and only copy I currently have of the music cd "Never Alone," for he and his wife to enjoy. I already sent out the other copy I had in the mail to a special couple and they received their copy already.
All is well with my soul. I can see why I woke up singing that tune for I am most grateful for Jesus and how He is an integral part of my life. Just the other day when I had that experience in my car and I began to cry in the presence of God I told Him how I so enjoyed the adventures we go on together and that I will go wherever He sends me on adventures with Him. I am to expect greater and bigger adventures coming up for He told me that. He also likes the adventures we go on together. How can you not have a thankful heart when you have such a special relationship with Him.
You can have the same relationship with Jesus, just seek Him out. He loves fellowship and friendship with His children. Are you seeking Him today?
Oh let me add this also. I try to stay away from eating things with yeast in them. It is a Holy Spirit thing with me but I must confess to you that I did try the focaccia bread last night when it came out of the oven it looked that good. I repent Holy Spirit for not being obedient in this guiding you give to me in regard to this. See, I am human and ask forgiveness when I stumble and you know what He forgives. That is encouraging right.
