I have a few pictures to share with you. A "shortly after findig out you are expecting your first child" along with the night before I had to go into the hospital to be induced for labor. Then the beautiful baby girl that came into the world with lots and lots of hair. Her first haircut/trim I believe she was about 3 weeks old. I was looking through some memorabilia and I remember the Dr. had me daily monitor the fetal movements the week leading up to me going into the hospital to be induced. I went into the hospital September 3rd early in the morning and never delivered her until the afternoon of September 4th. I ended up having to have a C-section. She was a joy when she was born and she still is the joy in my life. Picture time...

This is what it looks like being overdue with a 10lb. 3 1/2 oz. child inside you the night before going into the hospital to be induced for labor. I am still smiling.

Shortly after she was born.

Do you see all the hair she was born with. To me it reminded me of a shag haircut. She sure was sleeping pretty peaceful in the picture to the right. My cousin created that quilt for her. That was a favorite blankie if I recall. I think both of my children used this quilt.
Her original due date was 8/16 well they were slightly off on that date considering she was born 9/4. She was 10 lb. 3 1/2 oz. and 21 1/4 inches in length. When looking through a pregnancy journal I kept I was in the hospital 6 days (one day was counted as being brought in to be induced for labor.) Interesting note I just read in the pregnancy journal She was 20 days late the Dr.'s were concerned about the baby being dysmature and that there was enough amniotic fluid surrounding her so the week before her birth I had to go twice for ultrasounds and fetal non-stress monitoring at this teaching hospital's special studies section. This was a well known hospital that we selected and it was connected to a very good pediatric hospital in the event it was needed. Oh my I am also reading I gained 45-46 lbs. with her, the good news is that all of it except 7 lbs. came off at my 6 week check up. Thank God all worked out and she was born exactly when she was suppose to be born. Not in man's time but in God's time.
