WOW, When You Ask God For An Opportunity To Share Him With Someone He Sure Does Come Through In A Strong Way.

Let me share my "sharing opportunity" with you today. I share as an encouragement to you to step out of your comfort zone and share with others what God has done in your life. Sometime's the sharing may even come from a source that you least expect. I had to travel on an airplane and I prefer a certain type of seat on the plane when I do travel. For a few weeks I would try to select a seat and each time it would show no seats to select from. I was approaching the departure day and concerned that there would not be a seat available for me so I called the airline to seek out information. The first person I spoke with was not of much help to answering my questions so I requested to speak to the supervisor. Wow, the conversation we had started out with my concern of being able to get a seat and from that point on it shifted. This woman began to share of her experiences she had in her life with miracles and her children. One point in the beginning of the conversation it was disclosed to me by her that she was a Mormon.
With my religious mind set I wanted to almost end the conversation with her because she was not of like faith. I am so glad that I did not cut off the conversation and I followed the lead of Holy Spirit. I learned a big lesson in all of this. There would have been a day years ago that I would have ended the conversation politely and not continued on because of my mind set that only believers that call upon the name of Jesus and have Jesus in their heart receive miracles. That theory was obviously proven wrong to me in the midst of our conversation. It reminds me of the account in the bible of when Peter was on the rooftop and had the vision of the sheet coming down and telling him it was OK to do something that he thought was unclean and God was showing him that what he thought was unclean was not in the eyes of God (in Acts 10.) I guess God can bring people of all walks of life together to share what He has done in their life. It all started out as a connection as two mother's talking about their children. Then, if you let someone speak long enough there is a story for them to share with you about their life.
I must be growing in maturity is what I am thinking. Years ago I would have cut this conversation short the moment I heard the word Mormon and the blessing God had in store for me would have never come to fruition. I am not saying that there are other ways to come to Jesus for salvation and I do not know the full extent of what Mormon's believe but I do know that Jesus died for them just as much as He died for you and me, those that have called upon the name of Jesus to be saved. I remember as I look back on my life to the point when I was still of a mainline religion and God was working in my life back then with the faith that I had and then the light bulb went on in my life and truth was revealed to me about salvation in Jesus. From that point forward I set aside my religious mind set and accepted the bible as truth in my life. I can honestly say that God was doing a work in my life so how could I now judge others that He only works in the lives of believers. He is God and He can bestow miracles upon whom He chooses and to those that have faith to believe. I can say to you that He did move on my behalf back then in my life and I truly believe that He has always loved me with His enormous love it was I that was now ready to receive His enormous love into my heart. He was always there but was I always there to receive Him? That is the question.
On with the story...I have been praying a prayer for my children and I felt Holy Spirit nudge me to share it with her to open up her eyes about how God see's our children. I dictated it to her and she typed it on her computer. Let me share this prayer with you today to help you see your children the way God see's them. This prayer came from Kenneth Copeland Ministry I tore it out of one of their monthly magazine's that they sent to me several years ago. Thank you Kenneth Copeland Ministry for sharing this with your readers and now it is being shared with others again years later in a different arena.

"Lord, I love my children and I'm holding them before You right now. I see You holding them in your arms, ministering life and peace and comfort to them. Lord I realize that You love them far more than I ever could. And Father, I pray for the peace of God that passes all understanding to stand guard over their hearts and minds. Help them, Lord to be full of You, to know You, and worship You. And Father, help me see my children the way You see them. Help me love them with your Love."

I must let you know that the original prayer did not have the words "children" or "them". It was written with the words "son" and "him" in the prayer. I adapted it to my needs at the time and even adapted it again to add people to it that I wanted Him to let me see through His eyes.

On with the story. Just before the conversation concluded she shared with me that she opened up one of the blocked seats and when it was time for me to check in online the seat was already assigned to me. When I signed in sure enough there was the seat assigned to me. God sure is good isn't He. Now, I would have cut off the blessing He had lined up for me if I wanted to walk in my old mind set and not flow with Holy Spirit right. Be ever so sensitive to Holy Spirit today and see where He takes you on your journey with Him. There is no sweeter place to be than walking with Him, side-by-side with you, will you let Him?
