Guess What I Just Did? It Deals With A Storm And Walking In The Storm. I Think I Just Gave It Away.

I was reading a book on my patio and I could hear the makings of a good storm in the distance. What do you think I did? I got my umbrella and off I was for a walk. I did not even change shoes. Off  I went with my Birkenstock sandals on my feet. Sometimes you have to try something new. As I started walking it was fine. I hit the open field road and it was just drizzling no need for an umbrella yet. I noticed two eagles perched in their tree and was curious to see what happens in the rain with them. As I was heading out on the road the wind picked up considerably. Considerable enough that I needed to use both hands to hold onto my umbrella. The rain started to come down harder along with the wind picking up too. As I approached the eagles I noticed them flying in the sky, not particularly high up either. They would either nudge or bump into the other. I saw this happen a couple of times. I actually stopped and watched for a few minutes. I then had to head home to write. As I saw them bump into each other I was reminded that when we, as Christians, are going through a storm in life to not run and hide from the storm but be brave and weather the storm. There are other believers around you that are placed in your life and you in theirs to nudge the other while in the storm. Not nudge to irritate the other but to encourage the other to stick it out and the storm will pass in their life. If you run from the storm it will always seem like you are being chased by a storm or two. Stop in the midst of a storm and watch the beauty and magnitude of it. For you are not called to stay in the storm. Just to challenge the storm, face the storm, then  conquer the storm in your life. Do not place blocks or big walls up around yourself but let other believers in so they can help you walk through the storm.
It really is invigorating to walk in a rain storm. You may get a bit of raindrops on yourself but be reminded that water cleanses you just like the word of God does too. Wash yourself with the word of God and get strong in Him. His word hidden away in your heart is what will be drawn out of you in your storms. It will only be drawn out if there is something inside of you to be drawn from. Several days ago I read the book of Matthew. Today, Holy Spirit has me working on the book of Mark. I like Mark's style of writing. He is a man of lessor words than the other apostles but you know what? He says what he has to say more direct. I have read the entire bible through years ago and now I am appreciating the word of God through the inspiration that Holy Spirit gave Mark to write it. I noticed in Mark 1:12-13 it only took Mark two verses to describe satan tempting Jesus, where it took Matthew  1-11 verses to describe and Luke 1-13 verses to describe. Very simple, direct, and to the point "At once the Spirit brought him into the desert, where he was tempted by Satan for 40 days. He was there with the wild animals, and the angels took care of him." I think I will enjoy the book of Mark. No matter how many times you have read the bible or a certain bible verse it can always be fresh and new for you in the particular season/storm you currently are in. Don't stay in that storm go with the flow and get out of it when it ends. Follow the wind of Holy Spirit and you will remain safe.
How many people would enjoy walking in a rain storm?  Most seek shelter and wait out the storm. Do not be afraid of your storm. Face your storm and allow other believers (not the false one's ) to help you through. Once you achieve this will you not then reach out a hand to another and help them weather their storm too? That is what Chrisitanity is all about. Not setting up traps for believers but navigating them through a storm when they just cannot see the path ahead of them. Not cutting them down with cruel words but building them up with words of hope. Be blessed and never tire of reaching out to others with the gift(s) inside of you. It may be your gift(s) that will set another free from their storm. It may be their gift(s) that set you free in the process. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding and He will direct your steps.
