If You Died Tonight Where Would You Spend Eternity? A Song By Big Daddy Weave

Listen to the words of this song by Big Daddy Weave. It proposes a serious question to you. Really think about this. Heaven or hell those two are the only two choices you have as to where you will spend eternity. Eternity is a very long time would you like to spend it in the splendors of heaven with peace, love and no more tears or suffering or pain, in the presence of God? Would you like to spend it in the tortures of hell where there is no love or peace, just pain and suffering and removed from the presence of God? The choice is ultimately yours to make.

Where Do I Go When I Want A "Touch Of Home?" The Mountains Of Course. Look What I Found On My Trip There Today.

When I get an urge to go back home I travel to the mountain area where I live currently. It was a gorgeous day today with the sun shining and the leaves are starting to change colors now. I got in the car with the sunroof open and off to the area where I have clarity to think and beauty surrounds me. Being in settings like this cause me to be most grateful to God of all the things He does for me. It is away from the hustle and bustle of traffic. One of the stops I went to allowed me to purchase double-yolk farm eggs. They are delicious. One thing is that you have to clean them off when you get them home. They come from a farm so you need to clean the outer shells before you consume them or place them in the refrigerator. Picked up a few apples and some garden tomatoes too.

See the difference between a regular egg and the double-yolk egg.

Not the best picture since it was taken through my windshield but it is just a hint of what I get to enjoy on my little excursions.
Next stop to the store that so reminds me of home. They carry Amish goods so similar to a place I use to shop back home. On one of my trips I brought them one of the items I purchased from the other store to show them how similar their packaging and labels are. I even tell them that when I need a "shot in the arm" of home I travel to this store because they carry products also from the state I use to live in. For a few brief moments I feel like I am back home. Why do I miss home sometimes? I guess that is natural when you were born and raised in one particular state or region, it is who you were. While I was driving this thought came to me. I was thinking about having to clean the shells of the eggs when I got home and I then began to think about how we all had gunk and dirt and stuff like that on us before we accepted Jesus into our hearts. When we invited Him into our hearts and lives it was the washing of the word of God that cleansed us along with the blood of Jesus that He shed so we could live a life with Him. Not just here and now but for eternity too. Heaven bound that is the place to be. Maybe I yearn for something more because I will not be completely satisfied until I reach my true home which is heaven. The things of this world can tend to bog you down at times and thinking about heaven and the work we will have awaiting us when we arrive there makes me real happy. Do not let the things of this world bog you down but lift yourself up read the bible and surely something there will lift your spirit. There is so much wealth of wisdom in the bible that it should cause you to want to get away sometimes and just soak it in.
Heaven is for real and we will all be somewhere for all of eternity will it be heaven or hell? Only you can answer that question. If you would like the opportunity to select an answer right now and it is for heaven then let me lead you in this prayer that will take you on the start of your journey. Pray this prayer with me, "Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. Please forgive me and wash me clean from the sin and filth in my life. I try daily to live a good and clean life but I always seem to fall down. Pick me up and wash me clean and enter my life and heart to make me Your child. My sins are forgiven through You and what You did for me so I could live with You for all eternity in heaven. I believe that You were born and walked this earth. You chose to come to earth through the womb of Mary Your mother and live and walk this earth. You also chose to die on the cross and accept being beaten and receiving the stripes on your back. You suffered, died and three days later You rose from the dead. You are not dead and buried somewhere right now but You are alive and interceding for me right now. Thank you for that love that I could probably never re-pay You and for the gift You so freely give to me to allow me to change my life; live for You and with You with the help of the Holy Spirit. When I take my last breath here on earth I will be with You forever and all eternity in heaven. I am so grateful that You gave me this opportunity today to accept You into my heart. I love and trust You with my life. Amen"
Holy Spirit I ask you to seal the very words upon the heart of those that pray this prayer and invite Jesus into their hearts. Comfort them and teach them the things of God. Help direct them to a church that teaches the true word of God and will allow them to grow in the things of Christ. You are so awesome Holy Spirit and I am most grateful that you direct our paths and lead us to a safe place where we can invite Jesus into our hearts. That was my prayer for you. Did you know that the moment you invited Jesus into your heart that angels in heaven rejoiced? They rejoiced over you and your name was written in the Lamb's Book of Life. That is real important because one day it will be checked to see if you will enter into heaven. Congratulations and welcome to the family of God.

If The Holy Spirit Nudges You To Keep Away From Someone, Listen. He Knows All And Trust Him. Do Not Think That The Enemy Will Not Try To Bring This Person Before You, He Will. Stand Firm And Trust Holy Spirit.

This is a very interesting subject. I have learned this lesson in reality far too many times that I care to admit. I am a trusting person and I have the heart of an evangelist. Couple those two qualities together and you will find that you reach out to all sorts of people. Salvation is a gift freely given to those that accept it and want to live in heaven for all of eternity.
There tends to be cases of meeting of people that you just want to win them over to the Lord. Trust Holy Spirit when He draws you to them and just as important when He draws you away from them. He will allow you to connect with attempts to share the gospel and your testimony with them. If there is no change in their heart to cause it to soften He will not (that is what I have found to be so) encourage you to continue. Especially  if they flaunt sin in front of you and they may even say one thing to you and then mock you as you walk away. Jesus does not put His people in situations in which they will become embarrassed or embarrassed by another.
Sometimes it is hard to not reach out to another when He pulls in the reigns and tells you no more communication, because you really do have a heart for people. He has placed that heart inside of you and that is not a bad thing. Think of the many numerous times when He did lead you to someone and they were very receptive to the gospel and even your testimony. I would venture to say they outweigh/out number the times of the opposite.
He knows in advance the plan of the enemy and He will even give you warning dreams to keep you on His path and not to fall for the tricks of the enemy. He loves you so very much that He will even give you that dream as a warning just before you awake for the day. Thank God that He does do that because it stirs so much in you that you will not want to go against the warning right?
When you receive this warning dream be prepared that the person will somehow come across your path. Be prepared and do not let your guard down OK. If He says don't speak then do not speak. No matter how many times they may try to strike up or initiate a conversation. Be polite and smile but keep on moving past them. It is better to obey God. If you can toughen up and follow through eventually they will get the hint and hopefully they will stop trying to communicate. If they are a strong willed person then they will try to pursue again just hold firm and trust God. He always makes a way out for you, TRUST.
When you stand firm He can then minister to you. I found that to be the case recently. I did not budge and a few minutes later I was blessed immensely. I happened to look down on the ground and saw a dime. I went to pick it up but before I did I asked Holy Spirit to cover it with the blood of Jesus as a protection. The moment I picked up that coin He spoke to my spirit. I instantly recalled the parable of the 10 virgins. It was a dime which is a ten cent piece and He then urged me to pray silently in the spirit for the 5 virgins that were not prepared for the bridegroom and were left out of the celebration. This parable is to cause one to prepare for Jesus' coming again to claim His people. Of the 10, 5 were prepared and ready when He came for them and 5 were not. Which group do you want to be in, the 5 prepared or the 5 unprepared? The choice is yours. Prepare for eternity for it is a very long time without end and do you really want to spend it in heaven of hell. I own a book by Mary K. Baxter and she writes about hell is real. I felt led to start reading it again and believe me you do not want to go to hell to experience what awaits you there. It will not be for just a day, week, month or even a year. It will be your final demise for all of eternity. I implore you to change your ways while there is still breath inside of you. Ask forgiveness and repent and ask Jesus into your heart. There is still time to do that and know that you will spend eternity in heaven.

TJ Maxx Why Do You Not Carry Ruana's made in Italy? You Use To. Now They All Seem To Come From China.

TJ Maxx bring back the Israeli jewelry designer pieces. I do not know who the current buyers are but they definitely have changed over the last few years.  Unfortunately, not for the better in my opinion. You carry very little in the line of Perlier ancillary products too. I use to be able to purchase ruana's that were beautiful and not "cookie cutter" designs, that were made in Italy. Whatever happened to them? All I can find now are ruana's made in China and the worst part about it is that I had to pay the same price I paid for a finer quality garment that was made in Italy.
TJ Maxx use to be trend setters in the discounted clothing arena. I now find you losing your edge and you seem to carry the same old things that everyone else (competitors) seems to carry. Go back and get those great buyers you had from a few years ago so we can then again enjoy the great finds that had true character and appeal. What about Papyrus stationery buy outs too?

Let Me Share Something Inspiring About Dr. Charles Stanley & Focus On The Family Ministries

I want to share this with you about these two ministries. A local Christian radio station was having a telethon to raise money for the station. They operate on listener donations, they do not sell advertisement. They were having one of these telethons and while the people that work at the station were on the air talking I heard something that touched my heart. May it touch yours also. They stated how these two particular ministries pay for air time to put their ministry on the airwaves of this radio station. The best part of this is that they went on to share that both of these ministries are blessed by being on the station and that people purchase ministry tools from them being on the air. They went on further to share that both of these ministries also give back to the radio station because they are both being blessed by the people that hear their ministry and purchase products as a result of them being on the air. Isn't that beautiful? They do not just pay to be on the air and have the listeners purchase items from them but they also remember where the blessing comes forth from. The radio station that they choose to be on. To take it a step beyond their obligation to turn around and bless the station out of thanksgiving. That just touched my heart. I do believe that it also shows one the integrity of these ministries. They were not stating this as bragging, they were sharing with the listening audience that even ministries see the blessing to giving to the station.
When you are blessed do you then turn around and become a blessing to the very one that blessed you? That is a pretty good suggestion isn't it? Never forget where you came from and who helped you and reached out a hand to you. It really is OK to turn around and be a blessing to them just because of a grateful heart.

A Million Thanks To The Person That Read My Blog Recently. I Woke Up Today And Saw That It Was Read & I Had To Read It To Myself Today. It Was Entitled, "People Will Try To Dump Their Garbage On You-Don't Let Them..."

Thank you, thank you, and thank you again to the recent reader of the blog entry I wrote. I woke up today and I checked my blog and this particular blog was read by a viewer I think it was yesterday or even today. I needed encouragement myself this very day and found myself reading it to myself. Even with reading it myself today I still needed reinforcement of prayer from a very dear Christian couple. A couple that recently celebrated 49 years of being married to each other. Such a blessing they are in my life.
As I write Holy Spirit takes my experiences and compiles them all together and that is when I write. I write from my heart and experiences to share with you all to hopefully save you some heartache and pain in your lives. Once I write and publish I then move forward and let experiences happen so to speak and I gather the events and tuck them away for the right timing to bring them forth and Holy Spirit compiles the most beautiful, creative and even sensitive words and they then flow through me to reach you. It amazes me so very often that after I write and I am checking for spelling, etc, and I then actually have a chance to read the finished project and so many times I say to Holy Spirit You are so creative and so talented. I could never write like I do if Holy Spirit did not flow through me.
I truly am amazed at times how He orchestrates the experiences in my life, brings them to my remembrance, and then the words to bring all the thoughts together, and to me it is just beautiful. I am nothing on my own but I am everything with Holy Spirit in my life. I love when He directs my steps for the day and even to the point of yielding to the free spirit I have at times. What do I mean by the term "free spirit?" It just is an expression to explain that I am flexible to change my direction and agenda for the day to flow with Holy Spirit.
Example...the other day I felt led to write and Holy Spirit flowed through me. I do not do this like I did the other day as much as I use to do years ago. They were the most tender and encouraging words spoken to my heart. Reminding me to TRUST Him and at times that is the only word I hear from the Lord "TRUST." I was at peace with the words of encouragement and the best part about it, that night my pastor preached on hearing just one word from God. When you hear that word from God and you step out in faith the enemy will try to come at you with things to distract you and other voices to confuse the purpose and plan of God for your life. Stand firm on that word from God. If He spoke it He will see you through it, He will even send help if the enemy is battering you. Hearing Pastor preach that word that night just blessed me so. I received the word that day and he confirmed it that night. Moments like that are so tender to me and I cherish them. It was only a few short days ago when that happened and today I had to deal with something that then caused me to read what I wrote to strenghten me.
I write and then I move on to the next writing and today it was a writing written that someone read and I was then blessed to read it to myself and this time it ministered to me. Thank you. Something caused you to pick that very writing when you read it so it would be there for me to read this very day, the day when I needed to read it. May God bless you immensely, I may never know who you are but I ask Holy Spirit to bless you so very much so and then some. You see, even the teacher needs encouragement and who would have thought that the encouragement came from a work that they wrote? God knew all along the very day you needed to read that and then I was going to read it also.
Trust Holy Spirit and let Him lead your life and He will bless you so much that you will then step back and be amazed at how He flows through your very life.

Are You Paying A Fee To Live In A Gated Community? Do Further Investigation To Verify That It Truly Is A Gated Community.

I know you may not be paying an actual fee for this luxury but I am sure there is a hidden cost somewhere to allow you this luxury/security measure right? There are actual places out there that advertise as a "gated community" but in reality if you further investigate that may not be the case at all. Yes, there are some properties out there that are actual gated communties and they do just what they said they would do. A gate is around the entire property. Others, they advertise as so and when you tour the property you see gates that are placed in strategic places, so the one touring the property is made to think that it is so. Upon further investigation once you move to the property you find that there is not a gate surrounding the entire property. Be wise and ask pertinent questions, ask to see the gate throughout the property. Ask if the gate goes beyond what you are able to see on the property tour. Is there a wooded lot on the property or does it abut to another property and if so is there a gate where the property line ends? Are there tall slopes or hills? Even though they may be sloped and high up is there an actual gate at the top of that hill? If the answer is no to those questions then you are not living in a gated community. Anyone can walk through woods and climb down a hill if they really wanted to get into the property. You know there are such things as streets beyond the property and people that can access your property if they wanted to by climbing down a hill or walking through the woods.
I am sure that someone would even climb a gate if they wanted to get in that property bad enough right? I guess I do not want you to be deceived and talked into moving to a gated community when in fact it gives the appearance of safety with the gate that opens/closes when you enter or leave the community and strategic gates placed along the tour route while visiting the property. Ask question, pertinent questions. If you are already living in a supposed gated community then ask why you are paying for this security feature and in fact it is not that. See what their response is and then warn others so they do not fall for it.

Why Do I Not See That Many Cadillac Cars On The Road? Do You Wear A Watch Or Not? Two Thoughts Combined Today.

I noticed this the other day, I do not see too many Cadillac's on the road anymore. I see a lot of Lexus, BMW, Infiniti, and sporty types of cars. As long as I can remember my Father drove a Cadillac. Maybe the model changed throughout the years but he drove Cadillac's. It was not until his last few later years of his life did he drive a Continental. He was on a trip and rented one and liked it. I thought they were OK but I enjoyed the ride of his Cadillac vehicles.
I keep seeing the really sleek billboard signs for the new Lexus ES Hybrid and wonder to myself, How come you do not hear much about Cadillac's? The older generation are the type of people that you use to see driving them but now I see younger people driving them too. Is it a case that they did not advance in technology or downsize the size of the vehicle or create hybrid options? I do not know the answer I just know that I enjoyed riding in my Dad's Cadillac's throughout the years.
My Father was a particular/fussy person when it came to his vehicles. There was no snacking in them and no finger prints on the windows etc. You behaved when you drove with him. He was particular about his vehicles. I even remember this as a child riding with him, you just knew not to finger print the windows or make crumbs or anything like that. You sat in the seat and behaved. Of course a child should sit in their seat in the car and behave. I guess it was more of a case of respecting his property so you did not get corrected for being unruly while in the car. In one respect I like and honor that, too many children get things so easy today that they tend to not respect what they have and treat it as a valuable item. It is the throw away generation...if you do not like this watch you are wearing today you can toss it and get another tomorrow. Instead of taking good care of that watch or watches and not tossing it when the battery needs to be replaced but actually getting a battery to keep it running. I had a beautiful watch that has turquoise pieces on the watch band. It is a unique watch band and it would be hard to replace it because a standard watch band you cannot use. I was in Jamaica and the high humidity caused me to lose two of the pieces of turquoise so I put it in my jewelry box for about many years,  it is about 10 years old. I really liked the face of the watch and kept hoping I would find a band or maybe I would be able to fill in the two slots and then get a battery and wear it again. Well, guess what? It may have taken many years but I can wear that watch today.
The two pieces that fell out were in odd places so I first went to a craft store ( I did that on several occasions) in search of the item to fill in the blank spots. I finally came up with an idea this past year, it worked. I got glue-on jewels something that was close enough in size to fill in the space I needed to fill in. It is not a precious stone it is decorative and it allows me to wear that watch. I then looked at the band and decided where they would best be placed to balance out the look of the watch. I popped out the two last pieces close to the closure catch and then used my jewelry glue to place the turquoise in the other spots and then glued in the two pieces I bought to make it work.
Next step, trying to remove the back piece to get to the battery to replace it. I could not get it off at all, I tried several different things and to no avail. I even went to Walmart to get an instrument that is suppose to take it off and I sat in the parking lot of the store and attempted to take off the back and it would not budge. I had to go back to the jewelry department to return the item and the woman was so gracious to me. The policy of the store is to not replace a battery for your watch if you did not purchase the watch there. I explained my story to her and said I have not worn it for about 10 years now and if it broke while replacing the battery I would not be out anything, really. Well, she even had to struggle with removing the back but she got it off and then I purchased a battery and she put it in for me. The watch works now. Thank you for helping me Walmart employee, I really do like this watch. I do not even know if it is real turquoise or not but I am all about the look of a watch when I get one. I really pay attention to the face of the watch, I tend to like mother of pearl faces. It is a softer, more feminine look for me.
I had another watch that I just love the band too, the only thing is that the crystal face broke on it. Believe it or not it cracked while I trying to get the back off to change the battery. I just did not want to let go of that watch either. It will be a challenge for this one because I would have to find another face for it. I saved all the pieces and do not even know if it would work. I am going to show you that watch too because hopefully you would agree the band is pretty. It is about the same age as the  turquoise watch. They use to make more creative and feminine looking watches years ago. Now, they just have no style to them that is what I find. Anne Klein made the green watch and Marcel Drucker the turquoise watch.

turquoise watch and the other one is actually peridot colored stones
I have another Marcel Drucker watch that is similar to the turquoise style watch but the  pieces are a light purple jade color. You use to be able to purchase really unique watches at TJ Maxx years ago, now the watches they carry(in my opinion) I think are nothing special or striking about them. Oh, did I tell you that I love wearing watches. A smart looking watch can be a great accessory to your outfit. Here are a few of my favorite watches, do you have favorite watches you wear or maybe you do not wear a watch?

Other favorite watches, purple jade, pearls and then just glittery. All have mother of pearl faces.
Either way, one is not better than the other, wearing or not wearing a watch. It is a personal preference and you have to do what works for you and your lifestyle. Just remember to use your cellphone or some other means of telling/keeping time so you do not miss that very important meeting that just may change your life (for the good that is.)

I Am Pleased To Report That The Engine Light That Came On In My Car = Tune Up. It Is Running Just Fine Now.

This is how God works in one's life, that is, if you allow Him to. I went to a local auto parts store and asked them to please put that machine on my car to read why the engine light was on. They did and gave me the code to give to the person that will be fixing my car. It was also suggested to me a person in the neighborhood that works on cars. My gracious and kind neighbor followed me in their car to the place to get a read on the car from the mechanic. I was so relieved to find out it was in need of a tune up. I was letting my mind wander and in the back of my mind I was thinking I had to go in search of a new car. Not the case at all. My neighbor so graciously followed me again when I had to drop off the car for them to work on it and then drove me to pick up my fixed vehicle.
Guess what? The people that worked on my car prior to me moving to this state apparently put on the wrong brand of spark plugs. They informed me that they replaced them with the brand the car model/make/year suggested using. I cannot complain about the wrong spark plugs though. They had a warranty on them for 50,000 miles, they lasted approximately 45,000 miles. Now, that is the favor of God. Think about it. Wrong brand of spark plugs and they lasted just under the warranty and no damage done to my car.
You know, you sometimes take a precious gift you have and maybe not look at it as it should be looked at. When the mechanic sat in my car he said to me something to the effect and I heard the words Mercedes-Benz. I said what and what he said was the vehicle that I have is the Mercedes-Benz of the line of car that I do have. I believe it was a compliment and I should think of it as that. Yes, the vehicle I have is the top of the line for the make of the vehicle (please note that it is not an actual Mercedes-Benz.) I am blessed and I had to have a mechanic remind me that God does allow His people to drive in vehicles with nice features. I have never had the pleasure of experiencing this but one of my children did get to. My front seat can recline all the way back to line up with the back seat when you remove the head rest from the front seat and it becomes a lounge chair for the person sitting in the back seat. Another feature I have but unfortunately do not know how to use it is that it has a dual way to shift the car. I can drive it in automatic and place in D and drive or I can shift it to the right and drive as auto shift or something like that. I do not know how to drive stick shift so I have never tried to drive it in that mode because I do not want to break it. One day someone will teach me how to use that feature. You know, I have had this feature on two cars now, my prior car was a Chrysler 300M. I liked that car. I think they made a big mistake with getting rid of that model and coming out with the 300. It is way too boxy and large in size and it does not even look sporty at all. Another feature I do not like about them is that there is little window space. The windows seem to be boxier and not as much light can get into the car.
I went to a few smaller towns in the mountain region around where I live this past weekend. I had so much fun and it so reminded me of home (where I lived prior to moving to my current state I live in.) I use to go to an Amish bulk goods store and I found one not too far from where I live. I can actually get some of the same items and it just amazes me that they even use the same sort of labels stating the item, weight and the price of the item. What I like about this store that the other store did not have...the owner goes to FL and brings back wonderful shrimp you can buy from him at a great price point too. The Gulf shrimp is very good and makes a wonderful dish that I make with shrimp.
Want to know the name of this dish? One of my children named it Holy Spirit Dinner. That is because Holy Spirit showed them how to make this dish and that is what we call it now. You saute onion in butter and oil until transparent and tender, I like to add fresh mushroom slices and a bit of garlic too. Do not over cook and burn the garlic though. Some fresh lemon juice is good also. Cook your pasta separate. Sometimes I use linguine and other times fettuccine. Drain it when it is done and put a little butter on it so it does not stick together. Take your fresh shrimp that has been peeled and deveined and add to the pan and cook it until it is pink in color. Add some hot pepper flakes and then toss with the pasta and serve warm. I love fresh grated cheese on top of it too. It is such a wonderful flavor of everything combined. One important piece of info, season it with salt, pepper and garlic salt while the shrimp is cooking. Season before you add the pasta and taste after the pasta has been added you may need to season a bit more.
Did I make you hungry? Do something a little different this weekend. Go in search of fresh shrimp and try to make this dish. Even better yet, get out that pasta machine and make some fresh homemade pasta to go with it. If it is Fall and the leaves are changing in your region where you live, go in search of an Amish bulk store and have fun getting a few things. Sometimes they tend to be in country areas and you just may be able to pick up fresh fruit or vegetables there too.
God is so good to me. He knows when I long to feel a bit back home and He blesses me with surprises like last weekend. My neighbor did the driving last weekend so it is now my turn to do the driving this weekend. Want to know why it was a surprise last weekend? We started off in one direction then it led to another direction and then I saw the sign for the city in which the store is located. I asked if they wanted to got to this store and we kind of navigated right to it. Each weekend the leaves get closer to turning spectacular shades of color and I love the splendor of God's hand painting the scenery with color. Go on an adventure and let Holy Spirit guide your path and you will have great fun.
